The sixth graders participate in a competition with robots


On 4 March, the traditional competition in the CEGS Sumobots; in this part of the sixth semester students enrolled in the topic of Introduction to the Elements of Robotics .

Competition is participating autonomous mobile robots built and programmed by young people. The competition consists of placing two sumobots in a octagonal ring, whose objective is to disable the opponent or push him out of the ring, a round of two minutes.

this year included 10 teams of four students each were divided into 2 groups. In group A participated Bobo's Clan, the rude, Pork, and Bender's Weros while participating in group B Team 3, Team Bravo, Apollo XI, Mutant Turtles and Ponchobot.
The first round winners were Bobo's Clan and The Weros of Group A and Bravo Team and Group B. Mutant Turtles

This was a triple tie a tie in the first place. After a brief deliberation the judges decided to make an "all-around" between these three teams, however again be tied to a fight won and a losing battle, so they were declared winners at Bobo's Clan, Mutant Turtles and Bravo Team. However

the public and the students themselves are not satisfied that there was no overall winner, suggested a kind of war which pitched in three Sumobots were placed at the center of the ring back to back. In this fight Mutant Turtles and Team Bravo in a fierce battle is engaged with one another, a situation that was exploited by Bobo's clan who took both sumobots the ring.

Bravo Team members are: Antonio Miguel, Hugo Encinas, Manuel Viejo and Jorge Ramirez, Mutant Turtles by: Eugenio Martinez, Francisco Fernandez, Humberto Esparza and David Aste and Bobo's Clan by: Humberto Acosta, Ulises Cordoba, Jesus Guerrero and Jose Quiroz.

This year, the students used advanced strategies and programming construction and took advantage of the use of all the sensors so the competition was very fierce among the participants. Happy Birthday!
