"ATMOSPHERES DIGITAL" is a piece for symphonic band consists of four movements generated from concepts or ideas taken from the world of computing. Although they do not is a programmatic work. The titles of each movement refer to a general idea from which to develop musical elements, but not directly affect the development of the piece. Although the movements are designed as a unit separate content, listening to the four of us to discover the relationships established between them, both formal and melodic and armónicas.Debido to much of my career develops accompanying images, feelings, or concepts in film music, I try just to avoid concert music (not because I consider that it is bad, quite the contrary, if for no change), so this piece does not have any reading or intention beyond Music itself.
I. - .- The creation of Arpanet Arpanet was the precursor of today's Internet. The creation of such a significant tool in the world today was not the result of chance, if not a steady job, linear, ascending. This aspect can be seen in this movement, both in upstream designs displayed scattered along it, as in the general outline of the movement that is an ascending line.
II .- .- Bits Bits are the smallest units of storage which, combined them, resulting in the megas and gigas. With this in mind, the movement is constructed with a motivic cell minimum, a sixteenth, which is partnering with others to form the main reason for the move.
Virtual Reality III .- .- This move allows us to rest after the second and prepares us to reach the final. Dense chords accompany the principle of the English horn melody before the band takes its role culminating in a climax before returning to the sound placid and calm from the beginning.
IV .- .- Cyclic Redundancy Cyclic Redundancies occur when a CD can not be read correctly by the computer. What makes this is go back and repeat the reading. Taking this idea as the basis for this movement, as well as completion of the work, you will hear the repetition of various elements from overlapping chords up structures through the repetition of elements of other movements. In fact, there are elements scattered throughout the former reaching movements in this completion.
